ADVISORY/BART Service to SFO Only Nine Days Away; National - State - Local Leaders to Attend Opening Events.

ADVISORY...for Thursday through Saturday (June 19-21)

As the countdown to begin service Sunday, June 22nd, on the new BART/SFO line moves forward, a few events have been scheduled to commemorate this historic occasion. The events are being planned by The Friends of BART to SFO SFO (in Britain) Serious Fraud Office  Committee. They include a gala reception and the unveiling of an award to BART at the SFO station on Friday, June 20th. The Official Opening Ceremony will also be held at SFO in the International Terminal midday on Saturday, June 21st. Here's the rundown:

THURSDAY, JUNE 19TH AT 10 AM - MEDIA PREVIEW TOUR:

A Media Preview Tour of the SFO and Millbrae Stations, Intermodal Link to Caltrain and SamTrans. Start at Millbrae with train ride into SFO.

FRIDAY, JUNE 20TH BART AWARD CEREMONY AT 6:30 PM:

Gala reception at the new SFO station with dignitaries, elected officials and a special award unveiling from the American Public Works Association The American Public Works Association is an international educational and professional association of public agencies, private sector companies, and individuals dedicated to providing high quality public works goods and services.  recognizing BART as one of "The Top Ten Public Works public works
