WHAT: In response to the recent filing of a lawsuit against the
City of Santa Monica over its new anti-homeless ordinance that
seeks to outlaw outdoor meal programs and any distribution of
food on public sidewalks, Axis of Justice will be engaging in
a public act of defiance prior to a press conference on the
Third Street Promenade announcing the lawsuit.
WHEN: Friday, January 3rd @ 10am
WHERE: Palisades Park (on the corner of Arizona and Ocean in Santa
Monica)
WHY: "Feeding the homeless is not a crime. The real crime is that
the members of the Santa Monica city council, all of whom have
homes and plenty to eat, have passed a law making it illegal
to help the poor. Axis of Justice is happy to provide meals
