Details: The merger between Norwest and Wells Fargo brought
together 90,000 employees and two separate HR service
centers. As a result, implementing an HR information
delivery system and creating a central repository for
employee information presented a challenge. Delivery of
information is crucial during mergers to alleviating
employee concerns and maintaining morale. Vic Becker,
vice president of Human Resources at Authoria, and Connie
Bodle, project manager of the Human Resource Service
Center at Wells Fargo, will explore how Wells Fargo met
the many challenges involved when two companies merge.
