WHAT: Results of the third annual New York State HMO Report Card
will be released during an audio news briefing. The report
card is published by the New York State Health Accountability
Foundation, a private-public partnership dedicated to
value-based healthcare purchasing.
The only in the state designed by and for businesses, the
report measures a range of issues such as provision of early
prenatal care, post-heart attack treatment, and member
satisfaction. The report card was designed by the Foundation's
steering committee, which consists of representatives of
TIAA-CREF, Verizon Communications and Vivendi Universal. IPRO
and the New York Business Group on Health are founding
sponsors of the Foundation.
