Association of Film Commissioners International:


    What:   Association of Film Commissioners International's
            Locations Trade Show.

            The annual AFCI Locations Trade Show brings together
            member film commissions and private production resources
            from around California, the country and the world. More
            than 170 film commissions will be present, including more
            than two dozen California destinations, 40 U.S. states
            and countries such as Australia, Canada, Hong Kong (SAR,
            China), Fiji, Iceland, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand,
            South Africa and Thailand. The varied cultures and
            exhibits offer excellent visuals for stand-ups and B-Roll.

            More than 3,000 entertainment industry professionals --
            producers, studio executives, directors, talent and
            location managers, et al. -- attend each year. Admission
            is free to industry professionals and on-site registration
            is available.

    When:   Friday, April 16, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
            Saturday, April 17, Noon to 6:00 p.m.
            Sunday, April 18, Noon to 5:00 p.m.

    Where:  Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Main Street at Pico, Santa
            Monica

            Broadcast trucks can enter at Main or 4th Street and park
            at the rear of the building. A media desk in the lobby
            can assist you further upon arrival. Ask for Tim
            Alexander.

    Why:    Film Production is a major economic activity not only in
            southern California, but around the state, the nation and
            the world.

    Who:    In addition to the inevitable talent sightings, film
            commissioners will be available at their booths for
            interviews. The following are two notable
            availabilities/events:

            --  Official AFCI Spokespersons: AFCI President,
                (Ms.) Pat Kaufman, Director of New York State
                Governor's Office for Motion Picture and TV
                Development, and Bill Lindstrom, CEO, AFCI.
                Available throughout show.

            --  On Sunday afternoon, His Majesty Abdullah II of
                Jordan plans to make a visit to the show, where
                Jordan is exhibiting for the first time. Please call
                for media clearance and confirmation of time.

    More:   The AFCI is the official professional organization for
            film commissioners who assist film, television and video
            production throughout the world. It is a non-profit
            association whose members serve as city, county, state,
            regional, provincial, or national film commissioners for
            their respective governmental jurisdictions. More
