What: The Association House will formally open the only extended
hour Food Pantry in Humboldt Park at 1116 N. Kedzie to provide
food distribution services to 200 community families monthly.
This new food pantry will complement the hours of service at
our 2150 W. North Avenue Food pantry and allow us to extend
our total food distribution to 400 community families each
month.
The new Association House Humboldt Park Food Pantry responds
to community needs identified in the dramatic study "Community
Food Access Chicago" which indicated Humboldt Park as a "gap
community", where need for food is high and service providers
of food distribution is low.
