WHAT:   Arrival of the Ecuadorian Naval Tall Ship Guayas at the Port
        of Los Angeles. Press conference to follow ship arrival. The
        ship will remain at the Port for seven days as part of the
        Ecuadorian Independence celebrations in Los Angeles. The Port
        of Los Angeles is making a boat available for press to capture
        the historic first arrival of the Guayas.

        Ecuadorian Consulate and Naval Ambassadors

WHEN:   Monday, August 5, 2002
        8:45 a.m. - press boat to get images of the Guayas under sail
        10:00 a.m. - press conference

WHERE:  Port of Los Angeles, Berth 84 (Thomas Guide page 824)
        Berth 84 is located behind the Los Angeles Maritime Museum at
        the intersection of Sixth Street and Harbor Blvd. in San
        Pedro.

PHOTO OP.:

        Credentialed press may board the designated press boat between
        8:30 and 8:45 a.m. The press boat will be leaving dock at 8:45
        a.m. sharp and will return by 10:00 a.m.
