Greater China Photonic Solutions (GCPS), a consortium that offers the first China-based integrated component and subsystem supply chain for communications companies, is introducing itself to the U.S. market at the 2004 OFC Conference. GCPS allows communications companies to minimize costs and ensure quality standards by creating a single group of industry leaders to work with customers. The GCPS consortium was founded by Arasor Corporation, which is announcing the establishment of its production and testing facilities in the Nansha IT Park in Guangzhou, China, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta The Pearl River Delta Region (PRD) in China occupies the low-lying areas alongside the Pearl River estuary where the Pearl river flows into the South China Sea. Since the "Open Door Policy" was adopted by the Communist Party of China in the late 1970s, the portion of the delta in .
