Business Editors/Travel & Automotive Writers

ADVISORY...for Monday (Oct. 28)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHAT: The AAA Glidden Tour(R) -- the largest and longest
recurring annual antique automobile tour -- will travel
the roads of Central Fla., Oct. 28-Nov. 1, making its
first-ever stop at the AAA National Office in Heathrow,
Florida, on Monday, Oct. 28. Throughout the week-long
event, local motorists will be able to view hundreds of
vintage autos as they travel area roads.

The 225-vehicle tour -- organized by the Veteran Motor Car
Club of America -- will be the first in Central Florida,
and the 57th annual reenactment of similar events
sponsored by AAA from 1904 to 1913. The original tours
were held by AAA to prove the reliability of automobiles
and the need for improved laws, roads and services.

WHO: Owners of approximately 225 antique vehicles produced
before 1942 will celebrate AAA's 100th birthday with
employees of the AAA National Office, AAA Auto Club South
and invited guests. THIS EVENT WILL OFFER OUTSTANDING
VISUALS FOR VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY. B-roll of the original
Glidden Tours and the Oct. 28th event will be available.

WHY: AAA originated the reliability tour in 1904 shortly after
its founding 100 years ago in 1902. The tours were revived
in 1946 by the Veteran Motor Car Club of America and are a
showcase activity of the antique car hobby. This will be
the first time the AAA Glidden Tour(R) has visited the
national organization that founded the original event, and
the first time the event has been held in Central Florida.

WHEN: Monday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., special
            presentations at Noon.

WHERE: AAA National Office, 1000 AAA Drive, Heathrow, Fla.
                                                                     -

FEATURING:  225 antique autos produced 1942 and earlier;

            Original AAA Glidden Trophy from 1905;
Unveiling of Perpetual AAA Glidden Trophy -- to
commemorate all revival tours since 1946.

            Remarks by:
AAA President and CEO Robert L. Darbelnet
Veteran Motor Car Club of America President Bill Johnson
Antique Automobile Club of America President Jim Raines
