The American Corporate Counsel Association South Florida Chapter will host Dean Donald Weidner of the Florida State University School Florida State University School, or "Florida High", is located within the Southwood community in the southeast part of Tallahassee, Florida, USA. A charter school that serves kindergarten and grades one through twelve, Florida High is sponsored by Florida State University's  of Law at noon this Thursday in a talk on race-based affirmative action affirmative action, in the United States, programs to overcome the effects of past societal discrimination by allocating jobs and resources to members of specific groups, such as minorities and women.  in university admissions.

) at the Fort Lauderdale Airport Hilton in a talk about the new widely debated Supreme Court cases which will soon decide the fate of race-based affirmative action programs for admissions into state universities. Dean Weidner will discuss the preliminary considerations and various goals and arguments in support of and negating race-based affirmative action in admissions.

The keynote lunch address will take place in Ballroom C at the hotel at I-95 and Griffin Road. Nearly 100 attorneys are expected to attend the all-day meeting from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., as various nationally recognized speakers provide legal training on a variety of other topics as well. The event is sponsored by the law firm of Holland & Knight.
