WHAT: "Cover the Uninsured Week" Health and Enrollment Fair

WHEN: Saturday, May 15th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

WHY: To Increase Health Awareness for American Apparel Employees
     and the Local Community.



In recognition of the national campaign: "Cover the Uninsured Week," American Apparel and Worksite Wellness L. A. (WWLA WWLA Wideband Wireless Local Access ) will be coordinating a health and enrollment fair. This event will take place at American Apparel on Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is directed specifically towards American Apparel employees, but is open to the local community and nearby businesses. The goal is to increase health awareness, offer needed health screenings, and to provide enrollment opportunities into low and no cost health programs for American Apparel and the community.

A coalition of vendors will be on hand to lend support such as: Temple Medical Center, Bright Now Dental, Health Net, Chinatown Service Center, South Central Family Health Center, Clinica Monsenior Romero, American Cancer Society American Cancer Society,

Project, Worksite Wellness LA, County of Los Angeles Immunization immunization: see immunity; vaccination.  Program, American Apparel, Warehouse Shoe Sale -WSS, El Clasificado, MADD MADD Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Public health An organization that advocates stricter legislation against DUI and underage drinking, and provides support services for victims of DUI collisions. See DUI.  - Mothers Against Drunk Driving Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a nonprofit organization with more than 600 chapters nationwide. MADD seeks to find effective solutions to the problems of drunk driving and underage drinking, while also supporting those persons whose relatives and friends have been killed by drunk , Los Angeles Mission, Planned Parenthood, Inner City Law Center, California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields.
