--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2003

WHAT:    The Intel Science Talent Search (STS), the nation's oldest
         and most prestigious science competition, is taking place
         this week in Washington, D.C. The event provides an
         opportunity to meet the 40 high school seniors as they
         display their projects at the National Academy of Sciences.
         The students will compete for scholarships and prizes
         totaling $530,000; the top prize is a $100,000 scholarship.

WHEN:    Media are invited to attend the student project display from
         March 9 - 10 as well as the awards ceremony on March 11. Both
         events offer the opportunity for reporters, photographers and
         TV crews to speak with the students.

WHERE:   Public exhibition: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Sunday and
         noon - 3 p.m., Monday
