 begin at the Alexandria Museum of Art The Alexandria Museum of Art of Alexandria, central Louisiana, USA was founded in 1977. It subsequently was expanded and reopened to the public in 1998. The Museum is best known for its extensive permanent collection of contemporary Louisiana art and houses the state's largest  with a Gala reception and first-time viewing of The Heart of Spain Exhibition.
