Biography for Arlon Martin, Vice President of Marketing

Arlon Martin brings wide-ranging successes in marketing innovative optoelectronics products in both domestic and international marketplaces to his role of vice president of marketing at Agility.

Most recently, Martin was general manager and marketing director for the Optoelectronics Division of Lucent Technologies. Martin served in several significant leadership positions at Lucent including director of marketing telecom and submarine applications, and group manager, product marketing, optoelectronic components and digital signal processors A digital signal processor (DSP) is a specialized microprocessor designed specifically for digital signal processing, generally in real-time computing.  and microprocessors. His efforts were rewarded with high revenue and market share growth in the optoelectronics and semiconductor divisions. Martin's international experience includes six years in Tokyo as the senior manager of marketing and application engineering for Lucent's Microelectronics Division. While in Japan, Martin served as AT&T's representative on the executive committee and the Emerging Applications Committee of the Semiconductor Industry Association - Japan (SIA-J). During this time, AT&T was ranked the second fastest-growing semiconductor company in the Asia Pacific.

Martin began his career at Bell Laboratories as a computer programmer developing computer-aided design computer-aided design (CAD) or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), form of automation that helps designers prepare drawings, specifications, parts lists, and other design-related elements using special graphics- and calculations-intensive  tools.
