ADVISORY...for Thursday (April 6)

WHAT:             A basketball clinic, sponsored by the Los Angeles
                  Department of Water and Power (DWP), City Council
                  President John Ferraro and the Los Angeles Clippers
                  will give 40 children, ages 10-14, a chance to play
                  basketball on the court at Staples Center. Following
                  the clinic, the young basketball players will enjoy
                  the Clippers game against the Minnesota
                  Timberwolves.

WHO:              -- Boys and girls from the Lacer's Bancroft
                     Stars After-School Program in Hollywood.

                  -- Clipper coaches Dennis Johnson and Rex Kalamian,
                     and Clipper players

WHEN:             Thursday, April 6
                  4:45 p.m.-5:45 p.m.

PHOTO OP:         Forty young boys and girls receiving
                  instruction from Clipper players and coaches
                  on the floor of Staples Center.

WHY:              The clinic is one of many events that DWP sponsors
                  to demonstrate its commitment to the community and
                  the children of Los Angeles. City Council President
                  Ferraro extended the invitation to this after-school
                  basketball team in his district.
