Announcement of "Equalizer" Time; "Battle of the Sexes" Event

The 2003 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Professional Triathlete Meeting -
40 professional triathletes from 15 countries worldwide will gather at
the Minneapolis Life Time Athletic Club to hear the announcement of
the Equalizer time difference for the 2003 Life Time Fitness Triathlon
and receive important race information.

Based on past Life Time Fitness Triathlon course results, as well as
the outcomes from a number of world and American
international-distance events, The Equalizer allows pro women to start
ahead of pro men by a predetermined amount of time, resulting in a new
and innovative competition format, and a dramatic "battle of the
sexes" race to the finish and the event's record prize purse of

triathletes from 15 countries and 40+ states, along with thousands of
spectators, will descend upon Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis for the

triathlon - $500,000.

The 2003 Life Time Fitness Triathlon will be broadcast same-day
nationally on NBC Sports from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (CST). The Event
