WHAT: More than 35,000 lights outlining the buildings and grounds of Chateau Elan Winery & Resort will turn the resort into a fairyland of cheerful illumination. This, along with an array of holiday festivities including Santa Claus, the Grinch, live musical entertainment, theatrical performances, helicopter rides and storyteller mark the beginning of the Holiday Season at Chateau Elan. Among the scheduled feature attractions: -- Santa -- The Grinch -- Helicopter Rides  -- Carriage rides  -- Pony Rides -- Storyteller -- Giant Slide & Moonwalker -- Kid's Christmas Crafts and cookie decorating -- Golf Challenge -- Performing Arts Pavilion with performances by the League of Decency Like The Dickens Carolers -- Ice Sculptures (live ice carving demonstrations) -- Holiday Shopper's Massage Refresher by Chateau Elan Spa staff  -- Food Pavilion featuring Fall holiday fare for kids and adults (candy and caramel apples, hearty soup, pasta, roasted chestnuts, hot apple cider, apple beignets, winter spice wine, gingerbread cookies, and pretzels)  -- Face Painting -- Winery Tours & Tastings -- Fireworks WHEN: Friday, November 29 at 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. Lighting of the Chateau about 6:45 p.m. followed by fireworks Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December through December 15  Fridays 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Like the Dickens Carolers Saturdays 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Visit with Santa Claus, Carriage Rides Saturdays 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Like the Dickens Choir Sundays 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Visit with Santa; Carriage Rides 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. WHERE: Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is located just north of Atlanta in Braselton at exit 126 from I-85N COST: $5.00 per car fee paid at the entrance to Chateau Elan. Some activities require fees and convenient booths are available for purchase of tickets. CHARITY: A portion of the proceeds from the Lighting of the Chateau will benefit "Peace Place" a place of safe shelter and services for those who suffer from domestic violence.
