Business/Technology Editors & Health/Medical Writers

ADVISORY...for Friday-Sunday(Sept. 14-17)

--(BW HealthWire)

WHAT: Hill Holliday Exhibition Services is pleased to announce
that Senator Edward M. Kennedy has confirmed that he will
deliver a special keynote address at the Primary Medicine
Today (Pri-Med) Conference and Exhibition being held this
weekend at the Hynes Convention Center. Senator Kennedy
will address an audience of thousands of primary care
practitioners at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15 in the
Grand Ballroom. Over 8,000 medical professionals are
expected to attend the annual meeting and conference,
which is sponsored by Harvard Medical School.

According to Senator Kennedy, "Few, if any, issues are
more important to the well-being of American families
than access to high quality, affordable health care." He
will talk about how Congress' ultimate goal remains
health security for every American and the need to send
the President a Patients' Bill of Rights to curb the
health insurer abuses that too often put profits ahead of
             people."

He will also talk about the need to preserve and improve
Medicare, so that America's workers will enjoy the secure
and happy retirement they've worked hard for all their
lives. As a Senator from the State of Massachusetts, he
is lobbying hard to provide prescription drug coverage
under Medicare. He will discuss that with remarkable
medical breakthroughs on the horizon, many of the miracle
cures of the future will be based on new, effective, but
very costly prescription drugs. Senior citizens must have
             affordable access to these cures."
