WHAT:     Media representatives are invited to a press conference
          announcing Shane Doan of the NHL Phoenix Coyotes as the
          international spokesperson for Safe Schools, Safe
          Students/First Frontiers. News-media interviews will be
          available at Cellular One Ice Den, home of the Phoenix
          Coyotes.

WHEN:     Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 at 2 p.m.

WHY:      Safe Schools, Safe Students/First Frontiers works with
          children and youth in the United States and Canada to help
          them with violence mediation, peer mentoring and
          tolerance/diversity training. Using cutting edge technology
          both in the classroom and through a virtual environment
          called "First Frontiers," all youth, including those with
          disabilities, hospitalized or otherwise restricted can
          participate in these exciting and motivational activities.
          Shane Doan has accepted this invitation to serve as
          celebrity spokesperson because of his love of working with
          children and desire to assist in providing kids with
          opportunities to learn and grow with the guidance of
          positive role models.
