Day one will educate attendees about methods of data validation In computer science, data validation is the process of ensuring that a program operates on clean, correct and useful data. It uses routines, often called validation rules, that check for correctness or meaningfulness of data that are input to the system.  and how data analysis impacts product development. Day two will examine the developing environment of clinical data management, including emerging technologies and how researchers can turn data into valuable knowledge.

Mr. Rothmeier brings to Phase Forward more than eight years of experience in managing and implementing Electronic Data Capture systems in the pharmaceutical industry and has spoken and chaired multiple conferences on the subject. He has also contributed to several books on Visual Basic programming from MacMillan Press. Most of Mr. Rothmeier's 20+ years in the computer business have focused on implementing new technologies, and he has developed or managed development of systems in the payroll, auto manufacturing, travel, and the entertainment industries. He holds a bachelor's degree from Saint Olaf College Saint Olaf College, at Northfield, Minn.; Lutheran; coeducational; founded 1874 by Norwegians as a school, became a college 1886, chartered 1889.
