Who

David Demlow, vice president of product management at NSI(R) Software, will present two sessions on data replication and its role in a disaster recovery plan at the Compaq ENSA@Work conference in Las Vegas, N.V. In conjunction with a representative from Compaq, he will discuss the new replication solution available to customers and partners, "Compaq StorageWorks NAS Data Copy powered by Double-Take from NSI Software," and how it will benefit each organization.

Demlow will also speak at EMC Technology Summit on data replication alternatives in the market. Within this presentation, he will explore the differences in synchronous Refers to events that are synchronized, or coordinated, in time. For example, the interval between transmitting A and B is the same as between B and C, and completing the current operation before the next one is started are considered synchronous operations. Contrast with asynchronous.  and asynchronous Refers to events that are not synchronized, or coordinated, in time. The following are considered asynchronous operations. The interval between transmitting A and B is not the same as between B and C. The ability to initiate a transmission at either end.  replication technologies, the role data replication plays in a disaster recovery plan and steps on how to begin the implementation of this technology.

Demlow has more than 10 years of product marketing and management experience in the networking and storage industry. Demlow is responsible for defining NSI's impressive product roadmap and positioning including identifying market opportunities and requirements from existing and potential customers, performing competitive analysis and monitoring overall industry trends and events.

Why

As companies realize the importance of implementing data replication technologies as part of a business continuity plan to ensure data is protected and accessible, they are faced with the daunting daunt

task of navigating the plethora of available products and vendors. Recognizing this challenge, NSI Software has teamed with its partners, Compaq and EMC, to address customer questions such as defining data replication, the importance of data backup, what solutions are available on the market and which solution would fit the budget.
