WHAT:   Motiva President and CEO Jeff Carr will be leading a panel
        discussion, titled "What Software Will The VCs Be Investing In
        During The Next Year," at the TriValley Software Showcase,
        organized by the TriValley Technology Enterprise Center.

          Mr. Carr will join a select group of venture capitalists who
        will provide insight on the software categories they will
        invest in over the next 18 months. The group will also discuss
        the state of the market and identify new technology trends and
        will offer their perspectives on the technology market
        segments that will be hot in the next year.

          Joining Mr. Carr on the panel will be:

              --  Jeff Miller, Chairman of the Board, Documentum;
                Redpoint Venture Partner
              --  Ann Winblad, Co-founder, Hummer Winblad Venture
                Partners
              --  John Occhipinti, Managing Director, Woodside Fund

          Motiva has also been selected as one of the "Top Ten Emerging
        Software Companies in the TriValley" and will be featured at a
        luncheon event during the TriValley Software Showcase.

        business and to act as a bridge between the STET and the
