 Cowley and Ron Ribitzky, M.D., two key executives of MetaLogics Inc., will speak next week on funding and technology issues facing health care providers at the annual HIMSS HIMSS Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society  conference in Dallas, sponsored by the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. Cowley and Ribitzky are experts in the technology and healthcare fields. Cowley has 35 years of experience in designing and implementing information systems, and has managed information technology projects at more than 15 health care institutions. Ribitzky has nearly 30 years of experience in the practice of medicine, information technology and academia. Cowley, MetaLogics' senior vice president, will address how healthcare providers can overcome the four challenges they typically face as they develop electronic-business plans: managing operations costs; expanding services, markets and revenues; engaging physicians in the electronic healthcare community; and using technology effectively. Cowley will speak at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, in room D260 at the Dallas Convention Center.

Ribitzky, MetaLogics' chief medical officer and senior technology officer, will discuss the importance of data warehousing when setting up e-healthcare systems. He will discuss how healthcare providers can use data warehousing to capture and manage clinical, operational, and financial data, while fostering electronic communication between patients and healthcare providers. Ribitzky will speak at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 10 in Theater 4 in the Dallas Convention Center exhibit hall.
