On October 24 in New York City, Ray Ozzie, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Groove Networks, will introduce his company and the Preview Edition of Groove, a product that leverages peer-to-peer communications Communications in which both sides have equal responsibility for initiating, maintaining and terminating the session. Contrast with "master-slave communications," in which the host determines which users can initiate which sessions. If the host were programmed to allow all users to initiate all sessions, it would look like a peer-to-peer system to the user. Ozzie, who is best known as the creator of Lotus Notes, founded Groove Networks in 1997 to develop an Internet communications product that helps individuals and businesses worldwide strengthen their online connections.
