WHAT:           The first 1,000 fans to attend the Delmarva Shorebirds
                game this Sunday will receive a limited-edition Frank
                Perdue Bobblehead collectible. While tens of thousands
                of bobbleheads featuring sports stars and mascots,
                political figures and celebrities have been sold, it
                is believed that the Frank Perdue bobblehead will be
                the first to feature a business leader. Standing seven
                inches tall, it shows Mr. Perdue in his iconic white
                Perdue lab coat and a Shorebirds cap, holding a
                baseball.

WHY:            Mr. Perdue was a driving force in the establishment of
                The Shorebirds, a Baltimore Orioles Class A franchise,
                on the Maryland Eastern Shore in 1996. He attends
                almost every game and is as much a symbol of the team
                as its mascot. The team is using the opportunity to
                thank Mr. Perdue for his commitment to the team and to
                baseball.

WHEN:           Sunday, July 28, 2002
                Game starts at 1:05 p.m. (against the Charleston (WV)
                Alley Cats)

WHERE:          Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, Hobbs Road and Route 50 in
                Salisbury, Md.
