WHAT: The Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Consortium, along with
award co-sponsor EE Times and in cooperation with IEEE
Circuits and Systems Society, will honor two Fortune 1000
companies at the 2000 Design Achievement Award Luncheon.
WHEN: 11:45 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2000
WHERE: Room 502 in the L.A. Convention Center during the Design
Automation Conference (DAC) in Los Angeles, Calif. (June 5-9)
SUMMARY: Discover how today's wireless communications products, the
Internet and many other advancements would still be
intangible had not EDA tools enabled these critical
technological innovations. The Design Achievement Award was
created to honor the innovative use of EDA tools and the
companies that leverage these tools to create outstanding
products. This year, the EDA Consortium received a threefold
increase in nominations for the Design Achievement Award,
which grants a cash award to the Gold winner's design team.
Past award recipients include Siemens AG and XaQti
Corporation in 1999, and Acuson Corporation, Micronas
Intermetall GmbH and Intrinsix Corporation in 1998.
