Drexel, opened 1892, chartered 1894 as Drexel Institute of Art, Science, and Industry. It was renamed Drexel Institute of Technology in 1936 and gained university status in 1970.
What: The Greater Philadelphia job market has a promising

the Philadelphia region because of the area's
traditional strengths in technology and
pharmaceuticals, according to Drexel's Cooperative
Education and Career Services Dean Martin Ford.

kind, 2,000 students from Drexel and other colleges
will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters
from more than 170 companies.
