ADVISORY/ Digital Media On Demand's Rauber to Speak On Napster At Mass eComm-Sponsored Panel.

Business/Technology Editors

ADVISORY...for Tuesday Tuesday: see week.  (Nov. 14, 2000)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHO: Ty Rauber, Chairman and Founder of Digital Media on
Demand, Inc. (DMOD), will be speaking on a panel
sponsored by Mass eComm entitled "What Napster Means
For Your Business," along with representatives from
             Forrester Research, Houghton Mifflin Company,
             SoftLock.com and Context Media.

Rauber is a frequent speaker at industry events, and
is well-versed in all areas of digital content
             encryption, distribution and flexible
             rights-management technologies.

WHAT: Beyond music lawsuits, Napster has introduced a new
way of exchanging information online, has
reinforced direct selling to individuals via the
Web, and has raised serious issues about this
business model: intellectual property rights and
digital rights management being the biggest.
This panel, moderated by Scott Kirsner, Business &
Technology writer for Wired, Fast Company & The
Boston Globe, will explore the new revenue models
created by the Napster phenomenon and how it is
effecting other industries (such as publishing). In
addition, the panel will discuss how the industries
interested in direct selling over the Web or through
P2P technologies can protect intellectual property
rights. The panel will also discuss digital rights
             management (DRM).
