The Boston transportation system includes roadway, rail, air, and sea options for passenger and freight transit. It is composed of 16 schools and colleges. for a press conference and demonstration to launch a smart card pilot program at parking meters in the Boston University vicinity. The pilot program is a joint effort between the Boston Transportation Department, Fleet Financial Group and Boston University. The smart card, provided by Fleet Financial Group, is the first bank-issued smart card in the U.S. for use at parking meters. The cards will be tested at over 200 parking meters designated by the City of Boston for the program and will be available to the general public. |
