  WHAT: Today Intergalactic adventurer and Space Ranger, Buzz
        Lightyear, will bring his message of fun and literacy from
        "Infinity and Beyond" when he descends from atop the landmark
        Space Needle roof to help recognize the accomplishments of
        young readers from the Institute for Motivating Reading. Buzz
        and his friends -- Woody and Jessie -- will join together with
        a representative from "Disney On Ice presents Toy Story 2" to
        present the young readers with free tickets in recognition of
        all of their hard work.

        Disney On Ice's support of local literacy programs culminates
        at the show's 3:30 p.m. performance on Saturday, November 9 at
        the Key Arena. For every ticket sold to the 3:30 p.m.
        performance a $1.50 will be donated to the Seattle Times
        Newspapers in Education Literacy Fund.

  WHEN: TODAY November 6, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. -- 2:15 p.m.

        Show opens tonight Wednesday, November 6, 2002 and runs
        through Sunday, November 10


  NOTE: Please check in at the Space Base located at the North Plaza
        Entry of the Space Needle


  ADDITIONAL MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES AT KEY ARENA:

    --  On Thursday, November 7 at 7:30 a.m., comedic skater Kristian
        Ryan will be available for interviews. In addition, a sneak
        preview of one of the show's intricate production numbers will
        be performed at 8:40 a.m.

    --  Tonight (November 6) and tomorrow (November 7) -- Media are
        welcome to photograph the beginning of the show. The show
        begins at 7:30 p.m.
