ADVISORY/ Barona Band of Mission Indians Hosts Old-Fashioned Election Rally in Support of Proposition 5.


What: The Barona Band of Mission Indians Mission Indians, Native Americans of S and central California; so called because they were under the jurisdiction of some 21 Spanish missions that were established between 1769 and 1823.  will throw an

old-fashioned election rally to encourage voter support of

Proposition 5, the Indian Self-Reliance Act, because "A YES

vote for Prop. 5 is a YES vote for San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. ."

The public is invited to attend to learn more about Prop. 5

and participate in the free festivities fes·tiv·i·ty

a performance by the Little Hawks dance troupe, a Dixieland
