Now you'll have that chance as the Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA TMTA Transmeta (stock symbol) TMTA Texas Music Teachers Association TMTA Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association TMTA Truro Morlaix Twinning Association (UK) ) brings its state-of-the-art truck driver simulator (1) Software that enables the execution of an application written for a different computer environment. Same as emulator. (2) Software that models the interactions of hypothetical or real-world objects or business processes. to Washington, D.C. on February 10-11. The full-motion base of the simulator is what makes the unit so unique and the only one of its kind in the world. The mobile classroom is designed for two specific and very different audiences. In a classroom configuration, the system is used for truck driver training. In the exhibit setup See BIOS setup and install program. , it becomes a walk-through, highly-interactive exhibit that allows the public to climb into the simulator and see what it is like to share the road with a truck. When in public-exhibit mode, car drivers can be educated on blind spots, stopping times, turning capabilities and more by actually climbing behind the wheel of a fully-operational and full-motion truck cab. With a touch of a button, instructors can change the weather, fail the brakes, or take control of other vehicles at a moment's notice. Many types of tractor-trailer configurations may be simulated, ranging from flat bed trailers to school buses. Most engine and transmissions can be simulated in the more than 30 separate training scenarios. The TMTA unit was developed in part with a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation with additional funding provided by the TMTA Foundation.
