WHAT: NBA 2ball Championship Competition on Thursday, June 8th at 2pm.

NBA 2ball is the NBA's league-wide grassroots initiative that teaches kids teamwork, sportsmanship, and fundamental basketball skills. In their quest to win a national title, 2Ball finalists have traveled to The NBA Finals 2000 and will get shooting tips and encouragement from NBA stars Tracy McGrady and Greg Anthony.

The timed competition requires two players to accumulate points by alternately shooting from different locations on the court marked by varying point values. The finalists represent 12 NBA teams including the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings, Vancouver Grizzlies The name Grizzlies may refer to:
  • Grizzly bears
  • Memphis Grizzlies (Formerly the Vancouver Grizzlies), a NBA Basketball team.
  • Northside High School football team.
  • Fresno Grizzlies, a minor league triple-a associate of the San Francisco Giants.
, Phoenix Suns, Seattle Supersonics, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets Nuggets can refer to several branches of interest:
  • , a compilation of U.S. psychedelic rock released between 1965 and 1968
  • , a Rhino Records box set of non-U.S.
 and Indiana Pacers.

In order to advance to the NBA 2ball Championship, each team won its local, area, and city level competitions. The finalist teams received the highest scores in their age group in their respective conference (Eastern and Western) at the city level.

Nickelodeon will also be on hand covering the event for a nationally televised special, "NBA 2ball at the Finals," to be aired on the Nickelodeon GAS Network block.

The 36 finalists and NBA players will be available for interviews and photo opportunities.
