WHAT: 'PROFILES IN HISTORY' AUCTION BY PHONE, FAX, EBAY, LIVE TO
OFFER 566 TV/MOVIE MEMORABILIA ITEMS VALUED AT $2 MILLION. Included
will be the custom-built, fully operational "Black Beauty" car that
was driven by Bruce Lee as "Kato" in the classic 1960's television
series, "The Green Hornet". The car is expected to be sold for
$200,000 - $300,000.
Also to be auctioned is the single most important costume from the
golden age of 1930's horror cinema, the special effects "Invisible
Suit" worn by Claude Rains in Universal's adaptation of the H.G. Wells
classic "The Invisible Man," expected to fetch between $30,000 -
$50,000.
In addition, the world's largest and most important collection of
futuristic guns and weapons will be put on the block, from such
landmark productions as the "Alien" films, "The Terminator" films,
"Babylon 5," "Dune," "Battlestar Galactica," "Dr. Who," "Red Dwarf,"
"Flash Gordon," "The Invaders," "Logan's Run," "Predator," "Batman,"
"Blake's 7," "The Fifth Element," "V," "SeaQuest: DSV," "Men in
Black," "The Outer Limits," "RoboCop," "Ultraman," "Lost in Space" and
"Judge Dredd." This collection was painstakingly acquired over the
past 12 years by a single dedicated collector, and each piece is the
finest known example in existence.
Collectors will also find an excellent selection of props and
costume pieces from some of California Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger's greatest films, including his leather jacket and
sawed-off shotgun from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and his hero Rail
Gun from "Eraser." Interest in Schwarzenegger memorabilia is expected
to be at an all-time high following his move from acting to politics.
