Space Needle - a tower 605 feet tall in Seattle; a tourist attraction Seattle - a major port of entry and the largest city in Washington; located in west central Washington on the protected waters of Puget Sound with the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade as part of the Memorial Day weekend "High Flyin' Salute" organized by MIX 92.5 KLSY and the Landmark tower. For the past two weeks, MIX 92.5 KLSY has been taking these flags around the Puget Sound Puget Sound (py `jĕt), arm of the Pacific Ocean, NW Wash., connected with the Pacific by Juan de Fuca Strait, entered through the Admiralty Inlet and extending in two arms c. gathering signatures, well wishes and thank yous
to our military, fire fighters, police officers and all who serve and
protect our great country. This Friday, members of the King County and
Seattle City Councils The Seattle City Council, the legislative body of Seattle, Washington, consists of nine members elected at large. Each member's term is four years, and there are no limits on the number of terms a member may serve. will add their thanks and then help raise the
flags for all to see.The flag display will be up all weekend and will add a finishing touch to the tower's rooftop, which has been painted to resemble a vibrant, flowing American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of flag. This Friday, the Space Needle will be hosting a Media Preview of the flag signing and hoisting beginning at 7:45 a.m. to allow for up-close up-close adj. 1. Being at very close range: provided up-close views of rare fish. 2. Exhibiting or providing detailed information or firsthand knowledge: viewing and photography of the Memorial Day tribute flags, dignitary signatures and the flag raising itself.
