WHAT: The cast of "Barrage," a world-class music show based in Calgary, is
scheduled to perform selections from their current production, "A Violin Sings,
A Fiddle Dances," in Sam Goody Central at Mall of America on Thursday, March 1.
This event precedes their performance at the Historic State Theatre on Saturday
evening. WHO: Barrage has captivated audiences across Canada and Europe with
their energetic worldbeat music show. Their music has been described as a mix
of classical, Celtic, swing, country and rock. Based in Calgary, the group
formed in 1997 and since has performed extensively throughout Canada, the
United Kingdom and Europe. The group has become a regular featured act for the
Walt Disney Corporation at both the Epcot Center in Disney World and at
Disneyland where they perform for thousands of people daily and are billed as
the "World's Hottest Fiddle Group." Recently Barrage performed at the Skagen
Festival in Denmark where they were the surprise hit of the weekend.   In
October 1998, Barrage released their debut recording, "Live in Europe." The
first video, "Old Joe Clark," is in regular rotation on CMT in Canada and also
