(June 27) --(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE) WHO: Dominic Chianese, "The Sopranos'" Uncle Junior WHAT: Will give a special live performance to celebrate the release of his debut CD, "Hits" WHEN: June 27, 2001, from 7-10 p.m. WHERE: Twirl, 208 West 23rd Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues), New York Dominic Chianese, who plays the Soprano crew's crusty patriarch, Uncle Junior, on HBO's smash series, will join family and friends in New York on June 27, to celebrate the release of his debut CD, "Hits." The release party will take place at Twirl, located at 208 West 23rd Street. Chianese will perform a full set including songs from his new album. Chianese, who as Uncle Junior, brought grown mobsters to tears with his moving performance of "Core `ngrato" ("Ungrateful Heart") in the show's season finale, realizes a life-long ambition with the release of "Hits." The CD features 13 tracks that run the gamut from traditional Italian tunes such as "State Vicino a Me," ("Stay Close to Me") and "Santa Lucia," to popular and traditional American songs such as "Ramona," "Guantanamarra," "Amazing Grace" and "Shady Grove." The multi-talented Chianese displays his own songwriting skills on three original tracks "A Typical New Yorker," "Love is Real" and "True Love Still On My Mind." "Hits" arrived in stores on June 5 and is released through Suite 102, a division of Madacy Label Group.
