WHAT: The City of West Hollywood will continue its commemoration of
the 10-year anniversary of the historic Assembly Bill 101
demonstrations with a Town Hall meeting and the premiere of
"Into the Streets," a documentary outlining the history of the
AB 101 movement tonight, Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 7 p.m. at
West Hollywood Park Auditorium, 647 North San Vicente Blvd.
The documentary was commissioned by the West Hollywood City
Council. Following the screening of "Into the Streets" the
City will host a special AB 101 Town Hall meeting and panel
discussion moderated by Bill Rosendahl of Adelphia Cable.
Panelists will include AB 101 author and former Assemblymember
Terry Friedman, activists, historians, reporters and political
analysts who will discuss the historical and societal impacts
of the AB 101 demonstrations on the Gay and Lesbian movement.
