WHAT:        ASIMO (Advanced Step in Innovative MObility), the world's
             most advanced humanoid robot, launches a North American
             tour with a preview demonstration for science students
             the media and in midtown Manhattan.

             The "Say Hello to ASIMO" North American Educational Tour,
             destined for major cities across the country, will
             introduce the public to ASIMO and encourage students to
             study robotics and science.

             The demonstration will include a full 25-minute ASIMO
             demonstration as well as a question and answer session
             with a Honda executive.

WHO:         ASIMO, the world's most advanced humanoid robot Jeffrey
             Smith, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

VISUALS:     A 25-minute high-tech demonstration of ASIMO's technical
             abilities, including walking forward and backward,
             turning smoothly, climbing stairs, maintaining balance,
             dancing and talking, as well as interacting with
             students. Visuals also include students reacting to
             the live ASIMO demonstration.

WHEN:        Tuesday, January 28, 2002
