ADVANTIS PROVIDES INTEGRATED NETWORKING SOLUTION FOR FORD NEW HOLLAND

 SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Dec. 1 ~PRNewswire~ -- Advantis(A), a networking technology company, has been selected by Ford New Holland, Inc. to provide its network outsourcing solution.
 Ford New Holland, a farm and industrial equipment manufacturer and distributor based in New Holland, Pa., has signed a three-year, multimillion-dollar agreement with Advantis. Advantis was awarded the network design and management contract for Ford New Holland's integrated data and voice networks. The network connects Ford New Holland manufacturing and engineering locations in New Holland and Belleview, Pa., Grand Island, Neb., and Winnipeg, Manitoba. The network also integrates communications and data among its five branch offices, 10 distribution centers and 1,625 independent dealers nationwide with home office and business systems.
 Advantis CEO and Chairman Syd N. Heaton reported that "customers have been very enthusiastic" about Advantis and its services since the partnership formed by IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Sears (NYSE: S) was announced in August.
 "The Ford New Holland contract is just the beginning of what we view as a very promising future," he said. "By outsourcing its network to Advantis, Ford New Holland can concentrate on its core business while Advantis' professionals provide the network management expertise."
