 TO MAKE AVS AVAILABLE ON INTEL SUPERCOMPUTERS
 WALTHAM, Mass., July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Visual Systems Inc. and Intel Corporation's (NASDAQ: INTC) Supercomputer Systems Division today announced that the companies will work together to make Advanced Visual Systems' AVS visualization software available on Intel's massively parallel supercomputers. AVS provides application developers, scientists, engineers and other business professionals with a powerful visual application development environment featuring a broad range of visualization tools and services that can be used to manage, analyze and display complex data and images.
 The de facto standard among visualization development environments, AVS is available on the industry's leading workstation and supercomputer platforms, including systems from Sun Microsystems, IBM Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation, Silicon Graphics, Evans and Sutherland, Convex Computer Corp., Kubota Pacific Computer, Set Technologies, Wavetracer and Cray Research Inc. The AVS software is used for developing applications and visualizing data in fields such as medical imaging, computational chemistry, mechanical engineering, financial modeling,environmental engineering and fluid dynamics.
