Jurgen, based in ADVA's Munich headquarters, was previously Executive Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies.  (EMEA/LA) at ADVA. He joined the company in May 2000, and was responsible for building up and integrating the EMEA/LA sales team from 5 to 40 people and growing annual sales over 200% from 2000 to 2001. He has been instrumental in positioning ADVA successfully with service providers and also expanding sales coverage in the region. Prior to ADVA, Jurgen gained extensive industry experience during a 7-year career at Siemens' Information & Communications Transport Networks division, where he was most recently the Senior Vice President of Sales Europe for SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) The European counterpart to SONET.
