ADULT, 8 MINORS FACE 15 BURGLARY COUNTS.

CASTAIC - One adult and eight minors are facing numerous burglary charges related to a string of residential break-ins in Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  neighborhoods in the last two months, authorities said Tuesday.

The break in the case came Nov. 30 when a Castaic man surprised two intruders in his bedroom and managed to detain de·tain

Like other burglaries in Valencia, Stevenson Ranch Stevenson Ranch, California (in the 91381 ZIP Code) is a Los Angeles County, USA, unincorporated community west of Santa Clarita a few miles south of Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park. The Stevenson Ranch fountain was redone in 2007.  and Newhall, the intruders had entered homes by kicking open garage doors.

Sheriff's detectives from the Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  station served two search warrants and recovered items taken from the Castaic burglary and several others, authorities said.

As of Tuesday, 75 percent of the recovered items had been returned to the victims, according to investigators.

The nine suspects face a total of 15 counts of residential burglary.
