To meet the need for speed and increased data transport that today's wireless customers demand, ADTRAN introduces the MX3112. This innovative multiplexer enables effortless Ethernet migration from traditional TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. When paired with the OPTI-6100(TM) in the central office, the MX3112 completes an end-to-end solution (jargon) end-to-end solution - (E2ES) A term that suggests that the supplier of an application program or system will provide all the hardware and/or software components and resouces to meet the customer's requirement and no other supplier need be involved.

allowing for optimized Ethernet backhaul across existing transport topologies in virtually any service provider network.

ADTRAN's new MX3208/3216 drop-and-insert multiplexers are designed to lower wireless carriers recurring cost by maximizing utilization of their wireline or microwave connections. The MX3208/3216 permits a single DS3 to be shared among multiple cell sites, reducing the cost of leased line A private communications channel leased from a common carrier. Most digital lines require four wires (two pairs) for full-duplex transmission.

The MX410 allows a DS1 to be cross-connected into separate fractional T1 facilities supporting multiple radios or management interfaces. The MX410 provides V.35 and Ethernet interfaces as well for support of legacy management interfaces.

"ADTRAN is well-respected for its innovative, cost-effective solutions addressing our customer's network access needs," states Jay Wilson, Vice President of Product Marketing for ADTRAN's Carrier Networks Division. "The addition of these three new wireless infrastructure solutions enables ADTRAN to service the growing demand for voice and data service convergence in wireless network applications equally as effective."
