1. a dissecting instrument for isolating vessels and nerves.
2. a mechanical device for graphically recording the outline of an object or the direction and extent of movement of a part.
3. a means or agent by which certain substances or structures can be identified or followed.
(R) systems to transmit over and around microwave path obstacles, cutting the cost of additional equipment required for a repeated circuit by as much as 50 percent. Previously, obstacles to wireless signals were dealt with by deploying complete back-to-back radio systems. By combining two transceivers into one housing, TRACER can now relay voice and data through just one repeater, saving valuable networking dollars.

"This breakthrough in wireless extension eliminates the redundant signal processing required to do back-to-back signal relays," said Dan Pritchett, ADTRAN Director of Sales and Marketing Wireless Products. "Once again, ADTRAN is providing carriers the most innovative and cost-effective solutions for real-world deployment opportunities. With our new BDR 2400 repeater, wireless connectivity becomes a more viable solution for point-to-point deployment scenarios."

ADTRAN's TRACER features direct sequence, spread spectrum digital technology for point-to-point wireless connectivity. TRACER operates in the 2.4 GHz band, license-free in the U.S. and many foreign countries. The TRACER product line is available in mastmount and rackmount configurations to provide E1 or dual T1 communication links. TRACER is available in the U.S. through ADTRAN-certified resellers or master distributors. TRACER is also available through ADTRAN international sales offices and worldwide distributors.
