The Total Access 1124 is a self-contained OSP DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexor) A central office (CO) device for ADSL service that intermixes voice traffic and DSL traffic onto a customer's DSL line. It also separates incoming phone and data signals and directs them onto the appropriate carrier's network. See DSL.  that is weather-tight, temperature-hardened, and has integrated primary protection. The unit can be powered to beyond 80,000 feet utilizing ADTRAN's Line Powering Units (LPUs) from the central office. Also available with local power, the Total Access OSP DSLAM line complements ADTRAN's existing line of Total Access DSLAMs including the Total Access 3000, a central office or remote terminal, high-density DSLAM delivering up to 1,344 ports of DSL and the Total Access 1200 Series of 1U high Mini-DSLAMs delivering 24 ports of DSL.
