"ADS Technologies has shipped more USB and FireWire host cards than anyone in the world," said Mike McCoy, president of ADS Technologies. "We have taken that expertise and designed the USB 2.0 product line. Our next-generation 2.0 products will deliver the high performance, reliability and affordability that our customers have come to expect from ADS."

USB Turbo 2.0

USB Turbo 2.0 connects high-speed USB peripherals to the PC easily while providing bandwidth speeds up to 480 Mbps, 40 times faster than the previous USB 1.1 standard. It also provides backward compatibility with the hundreds of USB 1.1 devices already available. By choosing USB Turbo 2.0 to connect their current USB peripherals such as digital cameras, printers, and scanners, users can save time and money by not having to upgrade again to connect USB 2.0 peripherals as they become more widely available.

"Anytime a new technology emerges, immediately consumers are concerned about their current systems becoming obsolete," continued McCoy. "For operating systems that are not USB 2.0-ready, the USB Turbo 2.0 will function seamlessly as a USB 1.1 host. With USB Turbo 2.0, they can rest assured that their PC's and notebooks will be compatible with all compliant USB devices now and in the future."
