ADS Logistics, LLC Names New Senior Management Executives.


HOMEWOOD, Ill. -- The Board of Directors of ADS Logistics, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

 announced the promotion of William M. Edwards to president and chief executive officer of ADS Logistics, LLC (ADS).

Edwards joined ADS in 2001 as the general manager for ADS's warehousing and distribution division, Roll & Hold, was promoted to vice president Roll & Hold in 2002, added responsibility for the Western Intermodal division to his role in 2007, and was promoted to president and chief executive officer in 2008. "Edwards is strategy and growth driven and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the company's aggressive expansion plans that have helped shape the present state of ADS," commented Tim MacKenzie, chairman of the board for ADS.

Edwards has over thirty years experience in the metals industry, coming to ADS Logistics from IRMCO IRMCO Interagency Resources Management Conference (GSA)

 where he was vice president of their Advanced Surface Technologies group. Previous positions include president of Belmont Steel Corporation, a flat rolled steel service center; general manager at Ryerson Coil Processing, and fourteen years in various management and industrial engineering staff positions at Inland Steel. Jeff McCord has over thirty years experience in metals warehousing and distribution, and has been with ADS since 1990 when he was hired as a warehouse superintendent for Roll & Hold. He was promoted to regional manager in 1995, to director - operations in 2001, to general manager of the division in 2003, to assistant vice president for both the Roll & Hold and Western Intermodal divisions in 2007 and to his present position in 2008.
