Automated Dispatch Systems introduces TECHCOM2, a low-cost, two-way wireless paging solution that significantly increases productivity for office equipment dealers, providing real-time communication between dispatchers and field service technicians and eliminating wasteful telephone time and long-distance charges.

TECHCOM2 adds cutting-edge utility to the ADS System, already recognized as the leading automated dispatch system for the office equipment industry with 10,000 users throughout North America. TECHCOM2 is designed to increase efficiency and service accuracy, resulting in improved customer service.

The TECHCOM2 unit is small (3.5L x 2.5W x 0.93H), light (5.4 ounces with single AA battery) and powerful (32-bit Intel386(TM) processor with 1Mb flash memory plus 304 kbytes SRAM).

It features a 31-key, PC-style keyboard, clear graphic LCD with backlight, thumb-operated roller wheel that functions like a PC mouse, address book, audible beeper, silent vibrator and alert options. It operates on a single AA alkaline battery for up to 500 hours.

ADS users are able to communicate vital service data between the ADS System and field in real time with TECHCOM2 - without the costs of long-distance calling or paging. Dispatchers can automatically send service calls and data through the ADS System to TECHCOM2-equipped field technicians and receive instant updates on a call's status.

From the field, technicians can send and receive garble-free messages nationwide with guaranteed confirmed delivery, including e-mail, faxes, alphanumeric pages and text-to-voice messages. Messages can be up to 16,000 characters in length.

Technicians can access essential customer- and problem-related information, order parts and check availability, receive billing information and completely close service calls on location with TECHCOM2. They also can be alerted to incoming or missed messages and communicate directly with other TECHCOM2-equipped technicians.
