ADS Brings the Big Screen to Computer Users and PC Gamers; ADS Announces Release of TV Elite XGA 1024 x 768 Scan Converter.

Continuing to deliver quality multimedia solutions for presentation and gaming needs, ADS Technologies Monday announced the release of TV Elite XGA (EXtended Graphics Array) A screen resolution of 1,024x768 pixels. The term stems from IBM's XGA display standard introduced in 1990, which extended VGA to 132-column text and interlaced 1,024x768x256 resolution. XGA-2 later added non-interlaced 1,024x768x64K. , an XGA-to-TV scan converter that allows users to display computer content on big screen television screens in resolutions up to 1024 x 768.

This PC- and Mac-compatible scan converter generates sharp, stable TV images from noninterlaced VGA (Video Graphics Array) The display standard for the PC. All PC display adapters support VGA, and Windows machines boot up in "VGA mode" before switching to higher resolutions.  signals. Common uses for the Mac and PC compatible video adapter will be for big-screen display of office applications and computer games.

The TV Elite XGA has been designed as a plug-and-play tool for executives and educators who want to make stunning, multimedia presentations and for computer gamers who want to take gameplay to the big screen TV with clear, flicker-free image quality.

The Benefits of XGA-to-TV Scan Conversion

TV Elite XGA features plug-and-play installation and does not require software. Once connected, computer content can be displayed on both computer monitor and TV screen at resolutions up to 1024 x 768 and at vertical refresh rates up to 100 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. . Real time conversion of XGA to TV and five-line anti-flickering technology produces high clarity and image quality.
